Pilot Projects
Recent years have seen a marked interest in the problem of juvenile justice in Russia. This interested has been reflected in a multiplicity of targeted pilot projects? that were set up both as experiments and as a means to advance this cause. This section contains detailed information on several such programs and projects including those that have already been completed at the time of the opening of the website. Equal attention is paid both to the projects that are supervised by international organizations and to independent Russian initiatives.
“Prospects of juvenile justice development in today’s Russia” 13—14 December 2005, an inter-regional conference on “Prospects of juvenile justice development in today’s Russia” was held in Moscow. The conference that took place in the building of the presidential administration was organized by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in Russia and the Presidential Council on support for the development of institutions of civil society and human rights.
